Please don’t suck
So since Warcraft wasn’t the film to break the bad video game film adaptation duck, it’s up to none-other than Justin Kurzel’s ‘Assassin’s Creed’, do I think this film has the chance to be the best video game adaptation to the big screen? yes.
Most importantly by what I can tell from the trailer and this footage is that the filmmakers behind this adaptation have really taken only the basic structure of the video games did like the Assassin and Templar order, Abstergo etc the core basics of what makes Assassin’s Creed a unique property and so on. So I’m really excited that the team behind Macbeth have created their own unique characters and a historical setting/time period because the so easily could have taken any storyline or character from the games, that’s a great reason why Assassin’s Creed could not only be the first great video game adaptation but a great film.
‘Assassin’s Creed’ stars a great assembled cast in Michael Fassbender (Callum Lynch), Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson and Michael K. Williams, so the ingredients are here, the marketing campaign has been very solid in the lead up to this film, I’m excited and I cannot wait to go see this film because I love this franchise and hope they give us the film this franchise has deserved for so long.
